 RS Casuals Cricket Club

We’re a friendly, medium to weak side, based in the Sutton, Cheam and Epsom area.  Mostly wandering by nature we thrive on playing friendly Sunday fixtures in Surrey and if we have a home oval it would be the Old Walcountians ground in Woodmansterne, when of course we are granted access.

The many myths will be cleared up now as we reveal exactly how the RS Casuals CC came to fruition.  It all started over ten years ago, let us take you there...

The wiffle ball was selected, the blue kwik-cricket bat was knocked in, the Green (less smelly) wheelie bin was dragged into location and the mixture of concrete and drain covers were jet washed and prepared, yes Alley-Way cricket was born.  A summer series in Walton was followed up by touring fixtures down at West Wittering and from this our base was founded.  Many of our players then signed for a Cheam based side and it was a mixture of their desire and some family based street cricket in Hilldale that spurred on the RS Casuals CC to go it alone in this our first independent season.  We’ve drafted in a few new additions to solidify the family and friends based side and this season is shaping up to be a mighty battle of weather, sandwiches, ducks and of course flashing cricket!

Good luck to all in the 2009 season…
